  • Apostle Price: Welcome to "Ever Increasing Faith."
  • 00:00:07.180 --> 00:00:10.230
  • Dr. Betty Price: Grow in godliness.
  • 00:00:10.240 --> 00:00:14.090
  • Frederick K. Price, Jr.: We walk by faith, not by sight.
  • 00:00:14.120 --> 00:00:16.280
  • With the power of faith, you can do the impossible.
  • 00:00:17.250 --> 00:00:23.220
  • With the power of faith, you can live a victorious life,
  • 00:00:24.260 --> 00:00:30.190
  • changing one life after another
  • 00:00:31.190 --> 00:00:35.170
  • from burned-out hopes to gleaming joy.
  • 00:00:35.180 --> 00:00:38.290
  • With the power of faith, you can change your life.
  • 00:00:39.000 --> 00:00:43.050
  • Let the power of faith transform your life.
  • 00:00:43.060 --> 00:00:48.160
  • Apostle Price: If a thief tried to take your belongings
  • 00:00:50.030 --> 00:00:55.220
  • wouldn't you challenge him?
  • 00:00:55.230 --> 00:01:00.150
  • Me too.
  • 00:01:00.160 --> 00:01:06.260
  • But we let Satan do that to us and don't
  • 00:01:06.270 --> 00:01:10.260
  • think anything about it.
  • 00:01:10.270 --> 00:01:13.290
  • And go to John chapter 10.
  • 00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:15.210
  • We--you already know this but we'll look at it again.
  • 00:01:15.220 --> 00:01:19.170
  • Or look at it because Jesus said it.
  • 00:01:19.180 --> 00:01:25.120
  • We are dealing with a thief.
  • 00:01:25.130 --> 00:01:29.060
  • All right, John chapter 10. If you have it, say, "I have it."
  • 00:01:36.280 --> 00:01:39.040
  • Verse 10. You know this one.
  • 00:01:39.050 --> 00:01:40.240
  • "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill,
  • 00:01:40.250 --> 00:01:47.140
  • and to destroy."
  • 00:01:47.150 --> 00:01:50.140
  • That's his purpose.
  • 00:01:50.150 --> 00:01:52.030
  • And so many Christians won't lift a finger to stop him.
  • 00:01:52.040 --> 00:01:54.290
  • Instead of speaking what Satan through the system tells us
  • 00:01:55.000 --> 00:02:00.220
  • about who we are and what we have and what we can do.
  • 00:02:00.230 --> 00:02:07.110
  • We have to learn to trust God.
  • 00:02:07.120 --> 00:02:12.180
  • We have great faith in what humans tell us and it's amazing
  • 00:02:12.190 --> 00:02:19.120
  • because humans lie every minute, every day, every week, every
  • 00:02:19.130 --> 00:02:23.150
  • month, and won't even blink.
  • 00:02:23.160 --> 00:02:27.100
  • I mean, they'll look you right in the face and tell you the
  • 00:02:27.110 --> 00:02:29.190
  • biggest lie, you know?
  • 00:02:29.200 --> 00:02:32.240
  • And we accept it. Watch this.
  • 00:02:32.250 --> 00:02:35.210
  • Not only do we accept it but we go and repeat it.
  • 00:02:35.220 --> 00:02:41.220
  • "Well, it's gonna be 85 today."
  • 00:02:43.210 --> 00:02:45.150
  • How in the devil do you know it's gonna be 85?
  • 00:02:45.160 --> 00:02:49.110
  • Because that unknown man or woman on a radio or cell phone
  • 00:02:49.120 --> 00:02:52.230
  • or a TV that you have never met, know nothing about,
  • 00:02:52.240 --> 00:02:56.080
  • they said it.
  • 00:02:56.090 --> 00:02:58.020
  • And you are quick to say, "Oh, it's gonna be 85 today."
  • 00:02:58.030 --> 00:03:02.220
  • How come you don't say what God says?
  • 00:03:02.230 --> 00:03:08.010
  • "Yeah, well, I've never seen God."
  • 00:03:08.020 --> 00:03:09.230
  • Have you seen the commentator on the radio?
  • 00:03:09.240 --> 00:03:12.210
  • Just hear a voice.
  • 00:03:12.220 --> 00:03:15.250
  • It's amazing, we just accept whatever somebody tells us, but
  • 00:03:15.260 --> 00:03:19.110
  • we have a hard time with God.
  • 00:03:19.120 --> 00:03:21.290
  • Seems comical but it's really not.
  • 00:03:22.000 --> 00:03:23.190
  • I mean, it's awesome.
  • 00:03:23.200 --> 00:03:25.210
  • Now, until we confess in faith that all those things which the
  • 00:03:25.220 --> 00:03:30.110
  • Word clearly states belong to us, are actually ours, then the
  • 00:03:30.120 --> 00:03:35.070
  • enemy will continue to keep you in spiritual, physical, and
  • 00:03:35.080 --> 00:03:39.160
  • temporal bondage by robbing you of your inheritance and usurping
  • 00:03:39.170 --> 00:03:45.030
  • your rights in authority.
  • 00:03:45.040 --> 00:03:46.220
  • Go to 1 Peter chapter 5.
  • 00:03:46.230 --> 00:03:50.020
  • 1 Peter chapter 5.
  • 00:03:50.230 --> 00:03:55.100
  • The power of positive confession.
  • 00:03:55.110 --> 00:04:00.220
  • 1 Peter chapter 5.
  • 00:04:13.130 --> 00:04:15.020
  • If you have it, say, "I have it."
  • 00:04:15.030 --> 00:04:17.090
  • Verse 7: "Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you."
  • 00:04:17.100 --> 00:04:22.150
  • Not casting some of your care.
  • 00:04:22.160 --> 00:04:26.100
  • Now how do you do that? You do it by faith.
  • 00:04:26.110 --> 00:04:32.200
  • Not a feeling.
  • 00:04:32.210 --> 00:04:36.190
  • This is probably, I would say one of the, but probably the
  • 00:04:37.230 --> 00:04:44.040
  • most important truth or Scripture that I learned once I
  • 00:04:44.050 --> 00:04:50.120
  • got filled with the Holy Spirit and way back in 1970 and find
  • 00:04:50.130 --> 00:04:55.180
  • out how--found out how to walk by faith, because my cares had
  • 00:04:55.190 --> 00:05:01.280
  • inundated me.
  • 00:05:01.290 --> 00:05:05.000
  • I was drowning in cares.
  • 00:05:05.010 --> 00:05:09.220
  • And I confessed continually what I didn't have and what I
  • 00:05:09.230 --> 00:05:14.160
  • couldn't do, thinking I was being honest.
  • 00:05:14.170 --> 00:05:21.040
  • I thought by saying what I didn't have and what I couldn't
  • 00:05:21.050 --> 00:05:24.080
  • do, I guess I was thinking in the back of my mind, is maybe
  • 00:05:24.090 --> 00:05:27.240
  • that'll make it come to pass.
  • 00:05:27.250 --> 00:05:30.240
  • But when I found out it's by faith.
  • 00:05:30.250 --> 00:05:35.120
  • I never will forget because it was back in the time of what was
  • 00:05:35.130 --> 00:05:37.190
  • called the charismatic renewal and it was a great upsurge of
  • 00:05:37.200 --> 00:05:43.060
  • the manifestation of gifts of the Spirit, things were
  • 00:05:43.070 --> 00:05:45.160
  • happening, in traditional churches all over the world.
  • 00:05:45.170 --> 00:05:49.220
  • People were getting clued into more teaching than previous
  • 00:05:49.230 --> 00:05:55.260
  • centuries had presented to us whereby everything
  • 00:05:55.270 --> 00:05:59.240
  • was basically preaching.
  • 00:05:59.250 --> 00:06:01.280
  • It was basically inspirational but not very much informational.
  • 00:06:01.290 --> 00:06:08.250
  • And so we started getting knowledge.
  • 00:06:08.260 --> 00:06:10.150
  • And I used to get--this is the way God opened up my ministry.
  • 00:06:10.160 --> 00:06:14.140
  • I don't even know how all these people found out about me, but
  • 00:06:14.150 --> 00:06:16.280
  • God began opening doors all over southern California for me to go
  • 00:06:16.290 --> 00:06:20.140
  • and share the things that he was sharing with me and there were
  • 00:06:20.150 --> 00:06:23.180
  • many home Bible studies going on everywhere.
  • 00:06:23.190 --> 00:06:27.000
  • And people were--actually were vacating the churches by and
  • 00:06:27.010 --> 00:06:31.060
  • large because, up to that time, churches traditionally weren't
  • 00:06:31.070 --> 00:06:34.260
  • doing that much teaching.
  • 00:06:34.270 --> 00:06:36.260
  • And I won't forget this, it was right out in Compton.
  • 00:06:36.270 --> 00:06:38.280
  • I went out there and I was teaching this lesson, teaching
  • 00:06:38.290 --> 00:06:40.270
  • and at the end of the service I would pray for people, pray for
  • 00:06:40.280 --> 00:06:44.100
  • healing, so forth and so on.
  • 00:06:44.110 --> 00:06:46.050
  • And so this lady came up to--elderly lady and I always
  • 00:06:46.060 --> 00:06:51.080
  • would enquire what people want.
  • 00:06:51.090 --> 00:06:52.240
  • I don't just pray for folk 'cause you might want me to pray
  • 00:06:52.250 --> 00:06:55.040
  • that somebody's husband drop dead so you can have him.
  • 00:06:55.050 --> 00:06:58.060
  • No, stuff like that has happened.
  • 00:06:58.070 --> 00:07:00.140
  • So I'm not quick to pray.
  • 00:07:00.150 --> 00:07:02.080
  • I ought to find out, pray about what?
  • 00:07:02.090 --> 00:07:03.230
  • That's the easy way to get rid of folk.
  • 00:07:03.240 --> 00:07:05.070
  • Oh yeah, blah, blah, blah, and you're done.
  • 00:07:05.080 --> 00:07:06.290
  • I just can't do it.
  • 00:07:07.000 --> 00:07:08.090
  • My conscience won't let me do it.
  • 00:07:08.100 --> 00:07:09.250
  • I got to find out, well, pray what?
  • 00:07:09.260 --> 00:07:11.050
  • 'Cause I know from experience, people have got all kind of
  • 00:07:11.060 --> 00:07:13.010
  • crazy attitude.
  • 00:07:13.020 --> 00:07:14.110
  • Anyway, this little lady came up and it was for I think she had a
  • 00:07:14.120 --> 00:07:17.130
  • physical situation.
  • 00:07:17.140 --> 00:07:19.250
  • Anyway, so I enquired of her, well, you know, "What do you
  • 00:07:19.260 --> 00:07:22.230
  • want me to pray for?"
  • 00:07:22.240 --> 00:07:24.130
  • So she was telling me about all these problems, all this stuff
  • 00:07:24.140 --> 00:07:26.070
  • she was carrying, just truckloads of baggage; it was
  • 00:07:26.080 --> 00:07:29.070
  • weighting her down.
  • 00:07:29.080 --> 00:07:30.250
  • She said, "I want you to pray and I want you to pray that the
  • 00:07:30.260 --> 00:07:34.190
  • Lord would take half of these things away from me.
  • 00:07:34.200 --> 00:07:38.090
  • I can--" this is honest, the truth.
  • 00:07:38.100 --> 00:07:40.140
  • "I can carry half of 'em but I just--carrying this whole load
  • 00:07:40.150 --> 00:07:44.020
  • was--is just weighting me down. I couldn't do that."
  • 00:07:44.030 --> 00:07:46.070
  • And I shocked the poor lady.
  • 00:07:46.080 --> 00:07:47.270
  • I thought she was gonna fall out.
  • 00:07:47.280 --> 00:07:49.150
  • I said, "I'm sorry, sister. I can't pray that."
  • 00:07:49.160 --> 00:07:52.040
  • Her eyes got big as saucers.
  • 00:07:52.050 --> 00:07:54.160
  • And I said, "I can't pray that."
  • 00:07:54.170 --> 00:07:56.040
  • And I took her to this--took her to this verse 'cause it's what I
  • 00:07:56.050 --> 00:07:59.060
  • had learned, what I was doing.
  • 00:07:59.070 --> 00:08:02.000
  • And so I had her read it.
  • 00:08:02.010 --> 00:08:03.220
  • And I said, "Okay, what does it say?"
  • 00:08:03.230 --> 00:08:05.020
  • Says: "Casting all your care."
  • 00:08:05.030 --> 00:08:06.260
  • Not the major portion, not the big stuff, all.
  • 00:08:06.270 --> 00:08:11.240
  • So he's not gonna touch it until you release all of it.
  • 00:08:11.250 --> 00:08:16.270
  • And so if I, knowing what I know, if I prayed that prayer
  • 00:08:16.280 --> 00:08:19.230
  • for you, I would be in violation of the Word and it would
  • 00:08:19.240 --> 00:08:22.290
  • short-circuit the system.
  • 00:08:23.000 --> 00:08:25.210
  • It would not work.
  • 00:08:25.220 --> 00:08:27.110
  • Unless you're willing to let it all go, I can't pray.
  • 00:08:27.120 --> 00:08:32.030
  • And so I had to personally learn that for myself.
  • 00:08:32.040 --> 00:08:35.150
  • Because, see, worrying, there's a deception in worrying in that
  • 00:08:35.160 --> 00:08:41.250
  • you think you're doing something about the situation but you're
  • 00:08:41.260 --> 00:08:45.180
  • really not.
  • 00:08:45.190 --> 00:08:47.220
  • You're doing something about you which is putting you down
  • 00:08:47.230 --> 00:08:50.160
  • further in the hole 'cause worry doesn't change anything except
  • 00:08:50.170 --> 00:08:55.150
  • you on a negative basis.
  • 00:08:55.160 --> 00:08:59.240
  • So all that stuff I was worrying about that I couldn't do
  • 00:08:59.250 --> 00:09:04.120
  • anything about it just with my own hands and make it change, I
  • 00:09:04.130 --> 00:09:08.090
  • had to dump it all on the Lord.
  • 00:09:08.100 --> 00:09:12.010
  • And this is where I got it from, right here.
  • 00:09:12.020 --> 00:09:14.040
  • I had to confess that.
  • 00:09:14.050 --> 00:09:16.020
  • And I added that to my prayer time.
  • 00:09:16.030 --> 00:09:18.120
  • In fact, I've been doing that for 40-some years.
  • 00:09:18.130 --> 00:09:21.120
  • I do that all the time.
  • 00:09:21.130 --> 00:09:23.000
  • I cast all my care on the Lord.
  • 00:09:23.010 --> 00:09:25.030
  • He has it; I don't.
  • 00:09:25.040 --> 00:09:27.110
  • So if I don't have it, I can't worry about it.
  • 00:09:27.120 --> 00:09:29.110
  • You can't worry about something you don't have.
  • 00:09:29.120 --> 00:09:31.170
  • How many of you have been worrying about your collie dog
  • 00:09:31.180 --> 00:09:37.270
  • eating your chicken out there in the backyard?
  • 00:09:37.280 --> 00:09:42.210
  • Probably you don't even know what a--some of you may not even
  • 00:09:42.220 --> 00:09:44.120
  • know what a collie dog is.
  • 00:09:44.130 --> 00:09:46.040
  • Forget about having one. Ha! Ha, ha, ha, ha.
  • 00:09:46.050 --> 00:09:48.280
  • My point is if you don't have it, you can't worry about it.
  • 00:09:48.290 --> 00:09:53.100
  • So if you're worrying about it, that means you still have it.
  • 00:09:53.110 --> 00:09:57.100
  • And Father God won't touch it as long as you're touching it.
  • 00:09:57.110 --> 00:10:02.280
  • And I had another situation all during that time when the
  • 00:10:02.290 --> 00:10:05.260
  • charismatic renewal was going on and God was doing all kinds of
  • 00:10:05.270 --> 00:10:09.200
  • things and actually what he was doing was leading me
  • 00:10:09.210 --> 00:10:12.040
  • on into ministry.
  • 00:10:12.050 --> 00:10:13.260
  • So I asked were there any questions and this little lady
  • 00:10:13.270 --> 00:10:16.200
  • got up and, petite lady, and she asked the question.
  • 00:10:16.210 --> 00:10:21.120
  • I was teaching on this, casting all your care on the Lord.
  • 00:10:21.130 --> 00:10:25.080
  • So she asked the question.
  • 00:10:25.090 --> 00:10:27.020
  • It was a legitimate question. She said, "How do I do that?
  • 00:10:27.030 --> 00:10:28.210
  • My husband's 200-and, what's she--225, 250 pounds."
  • 00:10:28.220 --> 00:10:32.060
  • And she's just a little thing.
  • 00:10:32.070 --> 00:10:33.230
  • "And so how do I--he's my problem.
  • 00:10:33.240 --> 00:10:37.210
  • He's my care.
  • 00:10:37.220 --> 00:10:39.010
  • How do I pick--physically pick him up and cast him
  • 00:10:39.020 --> 00:10:42.170
  • on the Lord?"
  • 00:10:42.180 --> 00:10:45.110
  • Well, that was a good question.
  • 00:10:45.120 --> 00:10:47.230
  • And instantly, the Lord gave me this.
  • 00:10:47.240 --> 00:10:50.010
  • Now, that conference, people came from all over the world to
  • 00:10:50.020 --> 00:10:53.150
  • that conference, all over the world.
  • 00:10:53.160 --> 00:10:55.210
  • And many of the people that were in the sessions, they either
  • 00:10:55.220 --> 00:10:59.240
  • were from out of state, out of the country, or they lived
  • 00:10:59.250 --> 00:11:02.190
  • somewhere else or they were staying at a hotel and just
  • 00:11:02.200 --> 00:11:05.200
  • coming to the conference.
  • 00:11:05.210 --> 00:11:07.180
  • And so I told the lady, this is what the Lord gave me this,
  • 00:11:07.190 --> 00:11:12.220
  • right on the spot.
  • 00:11:12.230 --> 00:11:14.100
  • Said, "Okay, whenever you get either home or the hotel,
  • 00:11:14.110 --> 00:11:15.280
  • wherever you're staying.
  • 00:11:15.290 --> 00:11:17.240
  • When you get there, find you a place where you can write, desk
  • 00:11:17.250 --> 00:11:21.100
  • or whatever, and get you a piece of paper, 8 by 11, or 8-1/2 by
  • 00:11:21.110 --> 00:11:28.020
  • 11, piece of paper.
  • 00:11:28.030 --> 00:11:29.240
  • Sit down at the table, whatever, and at the top of the page
  • 00:11:29.250 --> 00:11:32.010
  • write, 'My cares, my concern, my worries,' whatever.
  • 00:11:32.020 --> 00:11:36.210
  • And then list them from 1 to 1000."
  • 00:11:36.220 --> 00:11:39.080
  • Ha, no, whatever.
  • 00:11:39.090 --> 00:11:41.040
  • "Start listing 'em--listing them.
  • 00:11:41.050 --> 00:11:43.160
  • And whatever it is, I mean, your car, your dog, your cat, your
  • 00:11:43.170 --> 00:11:46.110
  • children, your husband, whatever it might be.
  • 00:11:46.120 --> 00:11:48.270
  • Put it down on paper.
  • 00:11:48.280 --> 00:11:50.230
  • And then when you finish writing everything down, then rise from
  • 00:11:50.240 --> 00:11:55.030
  • your desk or wherever you're writing, go find you a
  • 00:11:55.040 --> 00:11:58.130
  • wastepaper basket.
  • 00:11:58.140 --> 00:12:01.190
  • Take that sheet of paper that represents all your cares, all
  • 00:12:01.200 --> 00:12:04.250
  • your concerns, all your worries.
  • 00:12:04.260 --> 00:12:07.200
  • Stand over that basket, take that piece of paper and crumple
  • 00:12:07.210 --> 00:12:10.140
  • it all up.
  • 00:12:10.150 --> 00:12:12.180
  • And say to the Lord, say, 'Lord, you told me to cast all my care
  • 00:12:12.190 --> 00:12:15.240
  • on you and I'm willing to do that but I don't know
  • 00:12:15.250 --> 00:12:19.030
  • where you are.
  • 00:12:19.040 --> 00:12:21.030
  • I don't know where your hand is.
  • 00:12:21.040 --> 00:12:23.210
  • So I can't know that I'm casting that on you.
  • 00:12:23.220 --> 00:12:26.250
  • So this paper represents all my cares, all my concerns, my
  • 00:12:26.260 --> 00:12:31.050
  • worries, everything.
  • 00:12:31.060 --> 00:12:32.190
  • This wastepaper basket represents your hand for me
  • 00:12:32.200 --> 00:12:34.270
  • right now.
  • 00:12:34.280 --> 00:12:36.270
  • So I'm gonna take this paper which represents all my cares
  • 00:12:36.280 --> 00:12:41.070
  • and concerns and I'm gonna drop it in that basket.
  • 00:12:41.080 --> 00:12:44.000
  • You have it and I don't.
  • 00:12:44.010 --> 00:12:46.050
  • I'm free and I ain't worrying about it no more.
  • 00:12:46.060 --> 00:12:48.170
  • It's yours.'" That's what I told her.
  • 00:12:48.180 --> 00:12:52.250
  • But that's one way that you can do that.
  • 00:12:52.260 --> 00:12:57.010
  • And leave it in that basket and don't go back in there
  • 00:12:57.020 --> 00:13:00.200
  • and pick it up.
  • 00:13:00.210 --> 00:13:03.080
  • That's something that you can do visually and physically as a
  • 00:13:03.090 --> 00:13:09.120
  • representation of what you're doing spiritually.
  • 00:13:09.130 --> 00:13:14.180
  • So maybe that'll help you, I don't know.
  • 00:13:14.190 --> 00:13:17.220
  • But here it is, right here: "Casting all," not some.
  • 00:13:17.230 --> 00:13:23.220
  • And that's sometimes what we like to do.
  • 00:13:23.230 --> 00:13:26.060
  • We like to hold on to little pet stuff.
  • 00:13:26.070 --> 00:13:29.270
  • "Well, I'm worried about Mama," amen.
  • 00:13:29.280 --> 00:13:34.260
  • Or whatever it might be.
  • 00:13:35.190 --> 00:13:37.100
  • No, you gotta turn it--your husband, your wife, your dog,
  • 00:13:37.110 --> 00:13:39.140
  • the hog, the frog, your children, your parents, your
  • 00:13:39.150 --> 00:13:43.020
  • job, your schooling, your career, whatever it might--you
  • 00:13:43.030 --> 00:13:49.080
  • gotta cast it on the Lord.
  • 00:13:49.090 --> 00:13:51.080
  • And the way you know that you've cast it on the Lord is you don't
  • 00:13:51.090 --> 00:13:53.240
  • have it anymore.
  • 00:13:53.250 --> 00:13:55.080
  • You don't worry about it anymore.
  • 00:13:55.090 --> 00:13:56.220
  • You don't confess it or talk about it anymore.
  • 00:13:56.230 --> 00:14:00.120
  • You only talk about the positive results of having done it.
  • 00:14:00.130 --> 00:14:05.160
  • That's what James meant in the book when it says, "But ye doers
  • 00:14:06.290 --> 00:14:09.160
  • of the Word and not hearers only."
  • 00:14:09.170 --> 00:14:13.180
  • So that's one way that you can do that.
  • 00:14:13.190 --> 00:14:16.110
  • So that's what I've done. I do that.
  • 00:14:16.120 --> 00:14:18.080
  • I've been doing that for 40, what, 43 years,
  • 00:14:18.090 --> 00:14:20.010
  • something like that.
  • 00:14:20.020 --> 00:14:21.260
  • In my prayer time I--that's how I have been able, I believe, to
  • 00:14:21.270 --> 00:14:26.170
  • survive through the 40 years of pastoring this church and the
  • 00:14:26.180 --> 00:14:30.240
  • television ministry and all that kind--I mean, I dump all that
  • 00:14:30.250 --> 00:14:33.070
  • stuff on the Lord.
  • 00:14:33.080 --> 00:14:34.230
  • I don't worry about nothing.
  • 00:14:34.240 --> 00:14:38.010
  • I have my responsibility, things that I am required to do and
  • 00:14:38.020 --> 00:14:42.210
  • need to do because of the position that I've had in the
  • 00:14:42.220 --> 00:14:45.150
  • past as the pastor but, as far as worrying about it, don't
  • 00:14:45.160 --> 00:14:48.170
  • bother me.
  • 00:14:48.180 --> 00:14:52.190
  • "Yeah, but, you know, you teaching on the family series
  • 00:14:52.200 --> 00:14:55.120
  • and you talking about husbands and wives and all that kind of
  • 00:14:55.130 --> 00:14:58.110
  • stuff and somebody might get mad and won't like what you said."
  • 00:14:58.120 --> 00:15:01.170
  • Not my problem.
  • 00:15:01.180 --> 00:15:03.000
  • I've gotta deal with what I believe God gives me.
  • 00:15:03.010 --> 00:15:05.040
  • And "Yeah, but suppose they stop coming?"
  • 00:15:05.050 --> 00:15:07.010
  • They stop coming.
  • 00:15:07.020 --> 00:15:09.180
  • What were they doing before God called me to the ministry,
  • 00:15:09.190 --> 00:15:13.160
  • you know?
  • 00:15:20.210 --> 00:15:22.060
  • So you--if I cast it on the Lord, I don't have it.
  • 00:15:22.070 --> 00:15:27.090
  • Had the same thing with the television ministry.
  • 00:15:27.100 --> 00:15:29.110
  • "Well, suppose people don't send any money?"
  • 00:15:29.120 --> 00:15:31.030
  • We'll go off the air.
  • 00:15:31.040 --> 00:15:34.130
  • Not me, anyway, I don't give a care about TV, as far as me.
  • 00:15:34.140 --> 00:15:39.020
  • I see myself every morning when I get up and go shave.
  • 00:15:39.030 --> 00:15:43.070
  • I'm used to looking at me.
  • 00:15:43.080 --> 00:15:44.170
  • I don't need TV to look at me.
  • 00:15:44.180 --> 00:15:47.100
  • You know what I mean? I learned that a long time ago.
  • 00:15:47.110 --> 00:15:50.050
  • So I mean, if people send money in and underwrite the cost of
  • 00:15:50.060 --> 00:15:54.210
  • the television ministry, fine.
  • 00:15:54.220 --> 00:15:56.150
  • If they don't, we'll go off the air.
  • 00:15:56.160 --> 00:15:58.060
  • I didn't slide out of my mother's womb onto TV.
  • 00:15:58.070 --> 00:16:02.180
  • So I don't worry.
  • 00:16:02.190 --> 00:16:04.080
  • I haven't worried about anything.
  • 00:16:04.090 --> 00:16:05.290
  • I don't worry about anything. I'm not helpless.
  • 00:16:06.000 --> 00:16:07.130
  • I'll find me some kind of job doing something.
  • 00:16:07.140 --> 00:16:09.070
  • I did that before I found out about how to walk by faith, so
  • 00:16:09.080 --> 00:16:12.080
  • it's not like I've lost my skills.
  • 00:16:12.090 --> 00:16:15.160
  • You know what I'm saying? So I've learned to do that.
  • 00:16:15.170 --> 00:16:18.100
  • Oh, and you talk about making like so wonderful, God.
  • 00:16:18.110 --> 00:16:21.070
  • Don't have to be waking up in the morning worrying,
  • 00:16:21.080 --> 00:16:22.230
  • "What am I gonna do?
  • 00:16:22.240 --> 00:16:24.140
  • What am I gonna do? Oh, oh, oh, oh."
  • 00:16:24.150 --> 00:16:27.070
  • And that's one reason why I hardly listen to the news
  • 00:16:27.080 --> 00:16:29.020
  • because it's 99% of it is bad news.
  • 00:16:29.030 --> 00:16:32.050
  • You keep listening to that stuff every single day, you're
  • 00:16:32.060 --> 00:16:34.140
  • listening to stuff you can't do anything about.
  • 00:16:34.150 --> 00:16:39.010
  • Them people are gonna do what they wanna do and kick your
  • 00:16:39.020 --> 00:16:42.240
  • backside, so you might as well get used to it.
  • 00:16:42.250 --> 00:16:48.140
  • So I don't--you know, now and then I pick up on something
  • 00:16:48.150 --> 00:16:51.020
  • that, you know, that comes across that I hear about, maybe
  • 00:16:51.030 --> 00:16:54.060
  • wanna get a little more information about, know how to
  • 00:16:54.070 --> 00:16:56.000
  • pray about something, but man, just to listen to that stuff
  • 00:16:56.010 --> 00:16:58.060
  • every single day, read the newspaper day after day, no,
  • 00:16:58.070 --> 00:17:00.040
  • it's all bad news.
  • 00:17:00.050 --> 00:17:02.220
  • Very seldom is any good news.
  • 00:17:02.230 --> 00:17:04.170
  • And when it is, they make a joke out of it, you know, it's some
  • 00:17:04.180 --> 00:17:07.150
  • kind of joke-ish thing.
  • 00:17:07.160 --> 00:17:09.090
  • It's not like--I'm not listening to that.
  • 00:17:09.100 --> 00:17:10.250
  • I don't need to know what's going on.
  • 00:17:10.260 --> 00:17:13.010
  • I mean, I'm sorry about all the bad stuff that happened but
  • 00:17:13.020 --> 00:17:15.190
  • nobody asked my opinion about it in the first place before the
  • 00:17:15.200 --> 00:17:18.030
  • bad stuff manifested.
  • 00:17:18.040 --> 00:17:19.170
  • You didn't ask my opinion about what you do.
  • 00:17:19.180 --> 00:17:21.150
  • I would have told you what to do about it.
  • 00:17:21.160 --> 00:17:25.170
  • They never asked me nothing about all these wars.
  • 00:17:25.180 --> 00:17:27.150
  • I could have ended the wars in 30 days.
  • 00:17:27.160 --> 00:17:29.050
  • All the wars we've had, I could get rid of 'em in 30 days.
  • 00:17:29.060 --> 00:17:31.190
  • They didn't ask me.
  • 00:17:31.200 --> 00:17:35.100
  • So, you know, so I'm saying, I cast all my care,
  • 00:17:35.110 --> 00:17:37.130
  • all this stuff.
  • 00:17:37.140 --> 00:17:38.250
  • I cast my--I cast the ministry, I cast my wife, my children over
  • 00:17:38.260 --> 00:17:42.050
  • the years.
  • 00:17:42.060 --> 00:17:43.220
  • Forty-three years I've been doing that, forty-four.
  • 00:17:43.230 --> 00:17:45.270
  • I got it--I got it out of this verse: "Casting all your care."
  • 00:17:45.280 --> 00:17:48.180
  • See, not casting some of your care.
  • 00:17:48.190 --> 00:17:52.160
  • Pray about people and things that you have responsibility
  • 00:17:52.170 --> 00:17:57.240
  • for, but not worry, not make it a care where you can't sleep and
  • 00:17:57.250 --> 00:18:05.060
  • you can't eat and you, you know, that's what I'm talking about.
  • 00:18:05.070 --> 00:18:09.110
  • I have responsibilities but the Lord can handle them
  • 00:18:09.120 --> 00:18:12.070
  • better than I can.
  • 00:18:12.080 --> 00:18:14.090
  • So that's why I cast them on him.
  • 00:18:14.100 --> 00:18:17.050
  • And it tells me something else that's extremely important.
  • 00:18:17.060 --> 00:18:21.110
  • I don't know if I ever said this before.
  • 00:18:21.120 --> 00:18:23.170
  • I may have in years gone by.
  • 00:18:23.180 --> 00:18:25.150
  • But it tells me that God--if God the Father is willing to take
  • 00:18:25.160 --> 00:18:29.200
  • all our garbage, if he's willing to take all our junk, that tells
  • 00:18:29.210 --> 00:18:39.210
  • me that when he created me, he did not create me with the
  • 00:18:39.260 --> 00:18:46.120
  • capacity to carry all this mess or else he would have said,
  • 00:18:46.130 --> 00:18:50.190
  • "That's your problem, Champ. You take care of that."
  • 00:18:50.200 --> 00:18:54.030
  • He said cast it on him. He can handle it.
  • 00:18:54.040 --> 00:18:59.260
  • So we weren't created to carry worry, stress, what?
  • 00:18:59.270 --> 00:19:07.180
  • So this has been my--one of my favorite Scriptures.
  • 00:19:07.190 --> 00:19:10.260
  • I use it all the time.
  • 00:19:10.270 --> 00:19:13.060
  • Okay, Matthew chapter 8.
  • 00:19:13.070 --> 00:19:16.200
  • We're talking about confessing what we have in Christ.
  • 00:19:20.190 --> 00:19:24.260
  • That has to do with what's called our inheritance.
  • 00:19:24.270 --> 00:19:29.220
  • Matthew chapter 8.
  • 00:19:29.230 --> 00:19:32.180
  • If you have it, say, "I have it."
  • 00:19:32.190 --> 00:19:35.060
  • Okay, Matthew chapter 8 and we'll look at one verse.
  • 00:19:35.070 --> 00:19:41.050
  • Verse, verse, verse, where are you?
  • 00:19:41.060 --> 00:19:43.270
  • Chapter 8, c'mon, 8.
  • 00:19:43.280 --> 00:19:46.010
  • All right, verse--all right, Matthew 8, very familiar verse,
  • 00:19:46.020 --> 00:19:52.200
  • verse 17.
  • 00:19:52.210 --> 00:19:54.080
  • It says: "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
  • 00:19:54.090 --> 00:19:56.010
  • Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He himself took our infirmities and
  • 00:19:56.020 --> 00:19:58.220
  • bore our sicknesses,'" which tells me apparently he doesn't
  • 00:19:58.230 --> 00:20:00.270
  • want us to take 'em.
  • 00:20:00.280 --> 00:20:06.070
  • When somebody wants to carry something for me, apparently
  • 00:20:06.080 --> 00:20:08.100
  • they don't want me to carry it.
  • 00:20:08.110 --> 00:20:09.280
  • Look at it, I didn't write it.
  • 00:20:09.290 --> 00:20:11.160
  • It says: "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
  • 00:20:11.170 --> 00:20:13.230
  • Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He himself.'" And the context of
  • 00:20:13.240 --> 00:20:16.230
  • that, in Isaiah, is referring to Messiah, Christ, our Savior.
  • 00:20:16.240 --> 00:20:23.140
  • Says: "He himself took our infirmities
  • 00:20:23.150 --> 00:20:28.100
  • and bore our sicknesses."
  • 00:20:28.110 --> 00:20:30.030
  • Apparently, he doesn't want me to carry the infirmities
  • 00:20:30.040 --> 00:20:33.130
  • or the sicknesses.
  • 00:20:33.140 --> 00:20:36.230
  • Now, of course, sometimes, we do because there's so much stuff
  • 00:20:36.240 --> 00:20:39.280
  • going on that we don't even know about.
  • 00:20:39.290 --> 00:20:44.010
  • You know, we don't even know about things we inherited, we
  • 00:20:44.020 --> 00:20:46.290
  • don't know what we inherited and we got here,
  • 00:20:47.000 --> 00:20:48.200
  • we found ourselves here.
  • 00:20:48.210 --> 00:20:50.210
  • You don't know what kind of junk's been going on down
  • 00:20:50.220 --> 00:20:52.290
  • through the family line for the last 300 years, you know?
  • 00:20:53.000 --> 00:20:55.030
  • And we gotta deal with it.
  • 00:20:55.040 --> 00:20:57.210
  • But it tells me he doesn't want overtly for us to have to carry
  • 00:20:57.220 --> 00:21:01.050
  • it or else he would never have taken the time
  • 00:21:01.060 --> 00:21:04.070
  • to take it and bear it.
  • 00:21:04.080 --> 00:21:07.130
  • Because that would mean that if he did then whatever it is has
  • 00:21:07.140 --> 00:21:10.260
  • been paid for twice.
  • 00:21:10.270 --> 00:21:13.130
  • And that doesn't make sense nowhere.
  • 00:21:13.140 --> 00:21:16.230
  • That doesn't--just doesn't make sense.
  • 00:21:16.240 --> 00:21:21.130
  • I mean, how many times have you gone to the grocery store and
  • 00:21:21.140 --> 00:21:23.050
  • filled up your market basket, took it up to the counter and
  • 00:21:23.060 --> 00:21:25.230
  • they said, "Okay, $115," or whatever it might be, and you
  • 00:21:25.240 --> 00:21:28.230
  • walked out to the parking lot where your car was parked,
  • 00:21:28.240 --> 00:21:31.030
  • circled your car, came back into the market, went back up to the
  • 00:21:31.040 --> 00:21:32.270
  • checkout stand and paid for it again?
  • 00:21:32.280 --> 00:21:38.040
  • You'd think, "Hm-mm, better call the people.
  • 00:21:38.050 --> 00:21:41.200
  • This person, they got a problem here."
  • 00:21:41.210 --> 00:21:43.230
  • No, no, it's already been paid for.
  • 00:21:43.240 --> 00:21:46.180
  • All right, look at this. 1 Peter chapter 2.
  • 00:21:46.190 --> 00:21:51.110
  • This is what we have in Christ. This is our inheritance.
  • 00:21:52.290 --> 00:21:56.210
  • But inheritance won't do you any good
  • 00:21:56.220 --> 00:21:58.070
  • if you don't cash in on them.
  • 00:21:58.080 --> 00:22:00.140
  • First of all, you've got to know that you have inherited
  • 00:22:00.150 --> 00:22:03.170
  • something, then you gotta find, okay, what do I need to do to
  • 00:22:03.180 --> 00:22:05.220
  • get this, you know?
  • 00:22:05.230 --> 00:22:07.200
  • How does it come--how do I get it in my little hot hand?
  • 00:22:07.210 --> 00:22:13.050
  • 1 Peter chapter 2.
  • 00:22:13.060 --> 00:22:18.020
  • You still here?
  • 00:22:18.030 --> 00:22:19.190
  • Okay, okay.
  • 00:22:19.200 --> 00:22:21.060
  • Okay, thank you.
  • 00:22:21.070 --> 00:22:24.170
  • 1 Peter chapter 2, verse 24. Very familiar verse.
  • 00:22:24.180 --> 00:22:28.250
  • It says: "Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the
  • 00:22:28.260 --> 00:22:32.240
  • tree, that we, having died to sin, might live for
  • 00:22:32.250 --> 00:22:38.070
  • righteousness--by whose stripe you were healed."
  • 00:22:38.080 --> 00:22:43.230
  • So "were healed" is past tense, indicative of the fact that in
  • 00:22:43.240 --> 00:22:50.290
  • the mind of Father God we're healed.
  • 00:22:51.000 --> 00:22:54.200
  • Now, again, because there's so many things we don't know in the
  • 00:22:54.210 --> 00:22:58.140
  • natural realm and things that we have to deal with that we don't
  • 00:22:58.150 --> 00:23:04.040
  • even know we have to deal with it, because of the love of money
  • 00:23:04.050 --> 00:23:09.280
  • by the people that manufacture and make stuff and their whole
  • 00:23:09.290 --> 00:23:13.110
  • purpose is to keep us on a string
  • 00:23:13.120 --> 00:23:15.020
  • so they can keep making money.
  • 00:23:15.030 --> 00:23:17.140
  • If they gave you a cure for something, then nobody will need
  • 00:23:17.150 --> 00:23:19.110
  • the cure next month.
  • 00:23:19.120 --> 00:23:21.050
  • They aren't gonna make any more money.
  • 00:23:21.060 --> 00:23:24.180
  • So they're just gonna let us have just enough to pacify us
  • 00:23:24.190 --> 00:23:27.170
  • and make we--make us think we're doing some--and keep us on them
  • 00:23:27.180 --> 00:23:30.110
  • drugs for the next 10 years, c'mon.
  • 00:23:30.120 --> 00:23:35.030
  • So those kinds of thing, we don't know.
  • 00:23:35.040 --> 00:23:36.250
  • That's why you need all the faith and all of the information
  • 00:23:36.260 --> 00:23:39.190
  • from the Word of God that you can to protect yourself because
  • 00:23:39.200 --> 00:23:42.070
  • it's all about out there in that world, it's about money, greed.
  • 00:23:42.080 --> 00:23:48.230
  • And they'll sell their mama, papa, sister, brother, dog, cat,
  • 00:23:48.240 --> 00:23:52.240
  • everything, to make a profit at our expense.
  • 00:23:52.250 --> 00:23:57.220
  • You couldn't take all the stuff that they tell you
  • 00:23:57.230 --> 00:23:59.270
  • you need to take.
  • 00:23:59.280 --> 00:24:04.100
  • So you gotta pray and then do all that you know to do, that's
  • 00:24:04.110 --> 00:24:07.050
  • at your hand to do, but the mind of God is that who--you were
  • 00:24:07.060 --> 00:24:14.130
  • healed with his stripe.
  • 00:24:14.140 --> 00:24:16.270
  • That's what we possess.
  • 00:24:16.280 --> 00:24:18.280
  • So I don't know about you, I'm confessing that whatever
  • 00:24:18.290 --> 00:24:21.210
  • happens.
  • 00:24:21.220 --> 00:24:24.040
  • I believe that's God's best. I'm shooting for the best.
  • 00:24:24.050 --> 00:24:28.240
  • If I make half of it, I'm a happy camper.
  • 00:24:28.250 --> 00:24:31.030
  • Better than making none of it, 'cause I don't know what they--I
  • 00:24:31.040 --> 00:24:35.120
  • don't know what they're putting in that food.
  • 00:24:35.130 --> 00:24:37.130
  • I don't know what they're putting in them animals
  • 00:24:37.140 --> 00:24:38.230
  • that we eat.
  • 00:24:38.240 --> 00:24:43.270
  • I mean, and I'm just about out of time.
  • 00:24:45.100 --> 00:24:48.010
  • This--we'll pick up there again but just, this is not in the
  • 00:24:48.020 --> 00:24:51.130
  • lesson, but years ago, and I'm gonna see
  • 00:24:51.140 --> 00:24:56.120
  • if you can attest to this.
  • 00:24:56.130 --> 00:24:58.020
  • Years ago, there was a vegetable that was just the most beautiful
  • 00:24:58.030 --> 00:25:05.030
  • red vegetable that you could ever see.
  • 00:25:05.040 --> 00:25:09.200
  • It was called a tomato, better known as tomato.
  • 00:25:09.210 --> 00:25:15.240
  • Now, be honest about this, when was the last time you had either
  • 00:25:15.250 --> 00:25:19.020
  • a cherry tomato or a regular tomato that taste like anything?
  • 00:25:19.030 --> 00:25:25.100
  • 'Cause I wanna know what store you shop at 'cause most of the
  • 00:25:25.110 --> 00:25:27.120
  • stuff we get, they look good but the reason that they don't taste
  • 00:25:27.130 --> 00:25:33.240
  • good is the fact that they are genetically engineered to last.
  • 00:25:33.250 --> 00:25:41.100
  • They chuck all this stuff on boxcars and stuff and then, or
  • 00:25:41.110 --> 00:25:44.160
  • tractor-trailers across the country.
  • 00:25:44.170 --> 00:25:46.250
  • And when you go into a market, these big markets nowadays,
  • 00:25:46.260 --> 00:25:51.050
  • Vons or whatever it might be, man, there's nothing that
  • 00:25:51.060 --> 00:25:53.070
  • looks more beautiful than the produce department.
  • 00:25:53.080 --> 00:25:56.200
  • Stuff looks so good.
  • 00:25:56.210 --> 00:25:58.230
  • Man, you take a bite of that, you might as well eat this
  • 00:25:58.240 --> 00:26:00.210
  • paper, as far as taste.
  • 00:26:00.220 --> 00:26:04.250
  • So I can only imagine what else is happening to the fruit or the
  • 00:26:04.260 --> 00:26:07.160
  • vegetables in terms of their nutritional value.
  • 00:26:07.170 --> 00:26:12.020
  • Tastes like nothing.
  • 00:26:12.030 --> 00:26:14.110
  • I used to eat cherry, little cherry tomatoes, almost like
  • 00:26:14.120 --> 00:26:16.130
  • eating raisins or something.
  • 00:26:16.140 --> 00:26:18.010
  • They were so good and sweet.
  • 00:26:18.020 --> 00:26:19.250
  • I haven't--we watched this just recently, in recent months, how
  • 00:26:19.260 --> 00:26:24.010
  • the value in terms of taste has gone down the tube.
  • 00:26:24.020 --> 00:26:27.250
  • There used to be, not too long ago, where the cherry tomatoes,
  • 00:26:27.260 --> 00:26:31.170
  • at least, taste like something.
  • 00:26:31.180 --> 00:26:33.050
  • The big tomatoes didn't taste that good 'cause they were
  • 00:26:33.060 --> 00:26:34.260
  • engineering those before.
  • 00:26:34.270 --> 00:26:36.140
  • Now, even, I haven't found a cherry one.
  • 00:26:36.150 --> 00:26:38.000
  • If you all find some, tell me where you shop.
  • 00:26:38.010 --> 00:26:40.040
  • And don't give me no speculations and I ain't got
  • 00:26:40.050 --> 00:26:41.260
  • time to be running around all over the country.
  • 00:26:41.270 --> 00:26:43.240
  • You tell me some or bring me an example of the fruit
  • 00:26:43.250 --> 00:26:46.170
  • so I can taste it.
  • 00:26:46.180 --> 00:26:48.170
  • Don't be telling me about Joe Produce Department.
  • 00:26:48.180 --> 00:26:51.270

  • Bringing to you the power of faith to transform your life.
  • 00:27:18.020 --> 00:27:21.190
  • Apostle Price: I believe that racism exists
  • 00:27:22.170 --> 00:27:24.100
  • in the church big time.
  • 00:27:24.110 --> 00:27:26.270
  • Now, how I act towards you, how you act towards me,
  • 00:27:26.280 --> 00:27:28.270
  • how you see me, how I see you, that's the real test of the
  • 00:27:28.280 --> 00:27:32.020
  • Christianity that we claim to have.
  • 00:27:32.030 --> 00:27:34.190
  • What is your problem that you can't accept me, but God can?
  • 00:27:34.200 --> 00:27:40.020
  • You're telling me, then, that you're greater than God.
  • 00:27:40.030 --> 00:27:43.190
  • This crap has gotta stop in the church.

  • female announcer: Why should Christians suffer?
  • 00:27:52.050 --> 00:27:54.040
  • Sadly, many popular theologians teach that suffering is God's
  • 00:27:54.050 --> 00:27:58.020
  • will and purpose for his children.
  • 00:27:58.030 --> 00:28:00.240
  • In this Bible study series, Apostle Frederick K.C.
  • 00:28:00.250 --> 00:28:04.080
  • Price debunks popular myths surrounding the cause of
  • 00:28:04.090 --> 00:28:07.170
  • Christian suffering.
  • 00:28:07.180 --> 00:28:09.030
  • Apostle Price: God is not the one bringing
  • 00:28:09.040 --> 00:28:10.150
  • temptations, trials, and tests.
